I tend to stay away from these topics, since it's a no win when you take sides, however, if the US is there to get or steal oil, then we are not getting it or stealing it fast enough. When the price of gas goes back down under the $2 where I think it should be, then I'll vote again.

If it was ONLY oil, and this was just an imperialist takeover for the oil, there are a lot of cheaper and easier places to pick a fight with closer to home (Mexico, Venezuala come to mind). And by the way, we import almost no oil from Iraq.

Of course oil is one of the issues, but not the only one (and probably not the main one). Payback for an assassination atempt on Jr's Dad, Saddam's repeated firing on our troops maintaining the no fly zone, genocide using banned weapons (and yes, Saddam did have and use WMD's), Terrorism, POWER, and a total miscalculation of how the population of Iraq would respond to freedom. No question the administration underestimated the aftermath of ousting Saddam - mistakes have been made. But as long as we are there, we owe the troops our full support. And as much as I hate losing one soldier in Iraq - I would rather fight there than in Malls and subways in the West.

I couldn't agree more.

How about stop spending $12milion an hour on a war ($9B a month) that should not have been started...

Lot's of American can be helped with that kind of money...lot's of schools built , lots of medications purchased. Enough that we woudn't even notice the minor impact some undocumented alien have on this country.

How should we do that? Just quit, pull out, leave? Please do tell me what would happen the very second we left....
