I've got a kid that works for me who's fiancé works at a Target here in Jacksonville. Yesterday they had a visit from Bashir Assad, the president of Syria. Apparently his mother in law is at the Mayo Clinic here in Jax, and they stopped in to pick up a few things. Him, his wife, and a number of SS agents rolled into Target yesterday afternoon...

Now, if we know of a country that sponsors terrorists, is actively pursuing nuclear technology, apparently with the help of N. Korea, and is suspected to be helping the insurgency that's caused such problems in Iraq maybe we don't afford their leaders access to our medical system, provide them with protection on the tax payers dime, and treat them like honored guests, they might take us more seriously...

I just don't get it......

I think the only country we don't give medical aid to is Cuba.

Yep, one of the employees asked if he could help the guy with something, and he just flashed his SS identification...He had his own security as well, but we had agents there too..

The thing is it's not if, but when...Now I admittedly lean to the right on fiscal, and security issues, but I firmly believe that we should be doing everything we can to lessen our dependance on their oil....Through the technology of alternate energy sources as well as clean coal technology, drilling more of our own oil..ie ANWR, and the Gulf of Mexico, etc....

If we take away the need for their oil they become a non-issue....

but if you take away the dependence of oil... billions of unexplained dollars will suddenly be looked at. And everyone will tell you that a nation united is a nation with a common enemy. (in this case, oil shortage - enemy)

Yep.. it will be interesting to see what happens with the middle east when the last drop of dino juice is pumped out. That or an alternative energy source is perfected.
