online photo management

Any suggestions on an online photo organizer that you guys use or recommend? I've seen some where you can add comments, dates, and all that. I have too many pictures in my computer and I need to clear some room. A lot of the pictures were loaded from a digital camera so the file on my computer is the only photo and I don't want to lose them. Been lucky so far my computer hasn't screwed up and lost them. I've got about 9 gig of pics and video.
Thanks in advance!

Flickr or Photobucket. I like photobucket, but if you plan on a lot of photos then Flickr is the way to go.

If you're looking for a full service pay site ($39 yr), I'd go with Smugmug. For more info about sites and photography in general try the Dgrin forum, loads of good info there.

thanks! I checked them all out, registered with Flickr. I uploaded a whole bunch of photos, but it will only show 200 of them with the free service, so I'll play around with it for a while and then decide about the $25 per year full service, which supposedly also gets rid of the ads.
thanks again
