Well shoot! I was going to go diving at a local quarry tomorrow, but my babysitters pooped out on me. Well then I thought I had it worked out with my mom and sister who are supposed to dive with us to take turns diving and watching my kiddos, but a girlfriend of mine is due to have her baby at any second and we are supposed to take care of their son when she goes into labor. No problem, we'll come home if she does....not exactly...they called a few minutes ago...her contractions are 5 mins apart and they are bringing over their little boy. So now we can't go. I mean yippeee for the new baby and all but I'm really dissapointed now. I know...ya'll feel soooooo sorry for me. I was hoping to get another couple of dives in before I go to Coz. I only have 9 dives on my belt and I was hoping fora littlemore experience before I leave. Anyway, justbeing a cry baby.

Thanks for the sympathy Paintballindivr. Sleeping sounds like a good idea! And as soon as my friend gets here, I'll do that!

I have enough trouble keeping track of my 4 year old, I sure wouldn't want to be keeping track of 3 of them.
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>The way I work things is my wife who doesn't dive watches my daughter while I dive, she usually swims in the shallow portion to have fun and all. Then when I'm done diving we go do something as a family. Of course with your real young ones that's not something you can do, but when they grow up a bit that might help. Kids just love water.</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>In fact, where I go swimming I've seen babies less than a year old swimming on their own in there. It's like they're born to swim, but if you don't get them started young like that they struggle with it.</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>At any rate I know what it's like to miss out on a diving plan, my buddy called me last night to tell me he wasn't going to be able to make it, sigh. I really wanted to go too.</DIV>

Just feel lucky you get time to go to COZ with 2 kids. The 9 dive you have will be plenty to do the drift dives there. If you have never been diving in Coz you will be totally hooked. Make sure you askthe Dm to dive Santa RosaWall.

OH don't feel so bad... your going to Coz soon!

I drove 3.5 hours a few weeks back to dive a quarry and when I got there, I couldn't clear my ears. This was after 45 minutes of fixing my tank valve on a tank that I had JUST had serviced for O2. Then I had to adjust my new BP/W etc. All this time I had a dive buddy waiting on me.. Then I hit the water and can't go below 10', I'm sure he wasn't happy but he was a trooper about the whole situation. 7 hour drive for nothing.. sad day for me!
