What involves expensive gear, compressed air in tanks, and can be done only in certain locations?

Paintball.

As some of you might know, after Larry got tired of making money from divers, he opened his own paintball store and arenas. It is a short drive from the Carrollton ScubaToys store.

Texas diving season is drawing to a close, unless you like mid-40s water temps. So, I'm thinking, some Saturday (November), a bunch of us get together for a paintball shootout. Boys versus girls. Or Foo Clan versus whomever. Or NAUI-certified versus PADI-certified. ScubaToys Staff versus customers (we get to shoot Joe...if you dare). We can think of more combos. I know one I want: Woody versus the July Rescue Class

Bring the kids and family. Maybe on a Sunday, when ST is closed.

On Friday, they serve free pizza. Perhaps Larry can extend that to our Saturday. Hopefully, our 10% board discount might apply to gear rental, painball ammunition, and entry fee.

Ok, so I can already tell you that the Foo "clan" won't be going against anyone. I have no interest in being shot at. Look at the tiara boys, I'm too much of a princess for that. Now Fooman2 on the other hand might enjoy it.

Nope. Can't get out of it that easy. Besides, Foo3 looks like she can take care of herself, but she'll need help. It's called the Buddy System...ever hear of it?

I was banned from my company paint ball games for playing dirty tricks....

Pretending to be shot and not being shot and taking out all the boys....fun stuff.

We had a guy go shirt-less. That was a very un-pretty site by the end of the day.

hmmmmm....yeah.....still not sounding like fun. And you're right, Foo3 can take care of herself. I'm pretty scrappy myself, but still don't like people shooting at me. Why don't we go dive the Comal river instead. It's only 72df year round.
