CU upsets OU!
I can't believe it. When I saw CU playing OU I thought it would be like the Christians being fed to the lions. But CU did the unthinkable and beat OU 27-24 with a 45 yard field goal as time ran out. They are going wild in Boulder.

Man it was a weekend of upsets wasn't it. 5 of the top 10 teams lost and USC sure didn't look like the number 1 team even though they won. Should be interesting seeing the new rankings.

All the upsets kinda of takes the lustre of the red river shootout next week. I think OU and Texas may have been already looking forward to next weeks game. Just goes to show you, you had better bring your best game every week. Colorada and Kansas St. certainly did.

I was just happy to see OSU put one in the Win column.
My dad was crushed about OU. The BIL was estatic about Kansas State. I am glad I will be out of town when the OU/Texas crowds show up.

texas has been begging to get beat for several weeks, wasnt it ark st that gave them all they could handle in week 1 or 2? anyway, a loss here doesnt hurt as long as they play well the rest of the year. if OU gets by texas, I dont see them losing another game until bowl time. USC only has one tough game ahead and that is with Cal who is grossly overrated.
it is anybody's guess who would meet USC in the championship provided USC gets there. LSU has a very tough schedule with Fla, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Kentucky coming up and already having played South Carolina and Virginia Tech. And if they win the Western division of the SEC, there is the championship game which could mean LSU and Fla would play twice. If LSU wins out, they deserve the title. If USC wins out, well, all I can say is try playing an SEC schedule then you can start to talk big. |
