Another Silly Christmas Question......

Here at the club where I work, we are having dificulty presenting a christmas eve menu that represents enough of "family tradition" for everybody, from my boss to the members, everybody has a different idea as to what we should serve........

What do you traditionally eat on the 24th in your family?

We always did standing rib roast with yorkshire pudding when I was growing up, then turkey and ham on the 25th?

Anybody care to help me?

Shrimp tray and crab claws from Red Lobster, homemade cookies and cinnamon candy, veggies/chips and ranch dip. Mostly finger foods because we stood around in the kitchen eating.

Well, on one side of the family we are Italian and they used to do Baked Ziti and Lasagna with plates of meatballs and sausage.

I believe that is beef wellington....

On christmas eve growing up we would open one present and have some ham & pie & the usual.

Christmas was a turkey & dressing and a table with more food than an army could eat.

We do that a lot too - I actually think I read somewhere Christmas Eve is a pretty big day for delivery pizza companies..
