Snowed In

Haven't posted in some time. but just have to vent.
as I type this, I'm looking out at about 2 feet of snow on the ground. My Gear is all stowed, and I won't break the surface again for probably another 5 months! man I'm stuck, so I've been revisiting some of my old book marks and even listening to Scuba radio!
I guess I'll need to get ice diver cirtified sooner than later If I'm to stay sane up here.

I've got 7" of the stuff here on the ground, and another large storm coming Saturday night into Sunday.

I'm glad that I am a skiier also, so I don't go nuts in the winter.

I feel you brother....It's been only 2 weeks since I was in Mexico. Here at home (Missouri) it's 25 degrees and a snow storm on the way. I'm already getting the shakes from not being able to dive....it's going to be a long winter. Maybe have to spring for the dry suit sooner than later.

I've got an Oneill type II 14/7 but I'm still not brave enough to try it in the winter. I do hear the DUI's Siren song, and it's getting louder!
like scootermcfly, I can preoccupy myslf with Snowshoing, but it just isn't the same anymore.
I didn't catch myself in time though. I double-tapped my fridge, two in the crisper and one in the icemaker.

BTW I have had the rare opportunity of being snowed in in St. Lo as well. coming back from San Diego one year, hit a storm that shut the roads down. I just pulled into the hotel and laid up. figuring that the roads would be clear by morning, since that how it's done up here in the UP, boy was I wrong! sometimes I think you folks have it worse down there than we do. more ice storms it seems.

Sorry, I can't sympathize any more. While I am from the Pacific Northwest and use to snow I have been in Texas for 8 years. We are expecting a cold snap tomorrow and the temp is going to drop to the 40s.

Ice....we still have it. Last week we had a nasty ice storm. Hit more in Southern MO and Kansas. Oklahoma got hammered. Many people without electricity. This week it sounds like 7" of snow. Welcome to the Midwest.

I can say that I fell for you about being stuck at homeeven if I haven't seen snow beofre! When we had those 4 hurricanes in a month in Florida in 2004, where I'm at I was stuck in the middle of 3 of them!
