Will keeping a can of roasted peanuts in the freezer keep them fresh?

Storing them in the freezer will prolong there freshness - but I wouldnt keep them in there for too long (1-2 months) Just be sure to let them thaw out on their own.

they don't usually last long enough in my house to warrant freezing them

Peanuts and all other sorts of nuts don't last long enough in our house to bother freezing them. Although we do store opened packets of savoury biscuits and chips in the fridge - it does seem to keep them fresh for longer.

My SO has a quirky way of storing almonds - he fills a bowl with almonds fills it up with cold water and puts that in the fridge. They soak up some water and crunch up a bit, they taste pretty good so I don't object.

Freezing them will keep them fresh longer. They will probably OK to eat several months later but things in the freezer tend to get that freezer taste - ick!

We've got a zip-loc of pecans in our fridge's "crisper" drawer that my wife won't let me throw away. I swear they've been in there about a year, but she thinks she's going to use them on something eventually. I'm thinking we can get fresh ones when that day comes. I actually opened the package to test them so I could use the excuse that they tasted old so I could throw them away...but surprisingly they were still crunchy and didn't have a bad taste.
