So what's everyone's Christmas/Holiday plans?

Hi everybody! So as I've been busy bustling around getting ready for Christmas, leaves me wondering - what are you doing for Christmas? Traveling? Diving? Eating?

We are staying in town, trying to relax and will do our fair share of cooking and eating. I have family in town and some family coming over who already lives here.

Whatever your plans - be safe, hope Santa brings you all you asked for, and hope you have a most Merry Christmas!!!

We'll be celebrating our first Christmas as parents. Christmas Eve evening we'll go to church where the wife & I were married. We'll come home for a quiet dinner and a reading of "Twas the Night before Christmas." We'll get up early the next day and have our little family Christmas around the tree. Then, it's off to my in-laws for mimosas and breakfast. Eventually, we'll make our way to my parents’ house for dinner. All the while I'll be sure to catch as much of the 24 hour loop of "A Christmas Story."

I'm really excited about it this year. We got my 10 month daughter a xylophone and the Fisher Price Animal Sounds Farm. It's that barn thingy that moos when you open the door.

I wish you all a joyous, peaceful little Christmas surrounded by the ones you love.

I'm right now prepping for Xmas Eve dinner for 12.

Cheeses, Shrimp Cocktail, Ginger-Carrot Soup, Bacon Wrapped & Roasted Duck Breast Stuffed with Chestnuts and Apples, Celeriac Puree, Calvados Sauce, Green Beans and - for dessert - Baked Alaska (with brownies and strawberry ice cream).

After that, I don't really care what happens.

I'm going to take the wife and daughter up for a flight in our plane if the runways are cleared off and it doesn't get bad out.

No dinner, nothing else special. It's another day for us, one off work though.

The usual family whirlwind.

After finishing some last minute things, we're heading to my family's tonight, where we will do the usual huge family gathering at my cousin's house, then hubby and I will spend the night at my parents'.
Tomorrow, it's presents and stocking with my parents, sister & bro-in-law. Then off for the all day celebration with my husband's family (breakfast through dinner...they hang out all day). Then Christmas night we pick up my husband's 2 boys (this year is their Christmas with mom year), and have them for the next 4 days. I'll be working the 3 days after Christmas, so we do Christmas with the boys all over again with his parents Wednesday night..and then again the first weekend of January with my parents because they leave town the day after Christmas.

Does it make anyone as dizzy reading that as it does me thinking about doing all that?

Just another dysfunctional Christmas! My wife and I are the only "normal" people in both our families it always seems somebody is sick or can't eat something yada yada yada blah blah blah...Then there is my family. My siblings are a Cops episode waiting to happen....geez im glad when Christmas will be over.

The wife and I will be going to her parents house in the morning and then we are going to the movies in the afternoon. I think she wants to see "National Treasure 2"
