Well this has nothing to do with horror/ comedy but....years ago I was watching IFC (Independent Film Channel) There was a movie coming on called (I think, "Falling from Grace") starring John Mellencamp. I figured I'd watch it, what the hell. Well to this day certain parts of the movie still stick with me. It was an unexpected surprise

This is backwards but whatever, A 5 Star Movie that turned out to suck was Spanglish.

Sorry if you liked the movie, but it was terrible. I couldn't follow the story, and Adam Sandler didn't even tell one joke.

And don't forget Idiocracy, that was pretty funny.

Lets goto Prison is the only sleeper good movie I've watched recently.

And I agree with Spanglish. huuuuuuuuuuuuge dissapointment. But I could make a giant list of 5 star movies that turned out to suck. "I Am Legend" for starters...

If you ever get the chance, try and find "Amazon Women on The Moon" or "Kentucky Fried Movie". Some friends refuse to watch them, but the ones who do like them.

edit: actually, you really need a pretty open sense of humor. Rent these at your own risk.

The Lair of the White Worm (1988) This is a low budget horror movie with Hugh Grant, Amanda Donohoe (LA Law), Cathrine Oxenberg. It is hilariously bad.

A Boy and His Dog (1975) This is a very early Don Johnson movie. A post-apocalyptic tale where a boy communicates telepathically with his dog as they scavenge the wasteland. Co-staring Jason Robards. If you can stick it out to the very end, you will be rewarded with one of the best lines delivered in any movie.

Saturn 3. Extremely bad attempt at the horror/sci-fi crossover genre, it's essentially a Halloween type movie with no entertainment or redeeming value to it. In fact, this film has the unique distinction of being the ONLY film I've ever walked out on while it was playing in a theater.
