According to CanadaA.M. (news show) this morning. the Delaware license plate number 6, sold at auction for 675.000.00. Apparently number 6 means something (status) there. The guy bought it for his father, a collector. I have to wonder what his car is worth!

If the license plate will return a profit on investment I'd say that it as a smart purchase. If it was a person with more money than brains..............?

The other day on the news I heard a similar story. Except it was in UAE (I think?) and the plate was "1" and sold for a million or something ridiculous. It's a crazy world we live in

crazy what people will do with a load of cash like that. Didn't Oprah already prove a point about folks with more money than brains? Gave homeless guy a whole bunch of money (don't remember how much) and in a short period of time he was back on the show, broke as a joke!

If I had $675,000 I'd spend it on cheap hotels, shore dives, air fills, and lots n lots of lottery tickets!

oh and maybe invest $100...

damn, you just had to get all serious on us didn't ya?

i would rather go ahead cut my own hands off, than to have someone else cut em! know what I mean? yeah, I agree - i'd rather live elsewhere too.

hey i know Germany's not a bad place to live... but to convince her [edit: the wife] of that, i'd almost have to believe in prayer!

Yup, somewhere with palm trees, beaches, and endless diving. Maybe...Corn Island.

Apparently plate #s 1-3 are for the governor and a couple other state bigwigs. Plate 4 and 5 in that state are retired, so number 6 is the top plate someone can own.

As for buying lottery tickets... lotteries are a tax on people who are bad at math.
