It's being shot down while over the pacific ocean, so I'd say it is doubtful. Either way they aren't trying to blow it up, rather they are trying to hit it so hard that it breaks up, without any of the satisfying boom of an explosive warhead.

it should still be able to be seen though rite??
Maybe, since the intercept missile's fuel will explode when they hit, but the intercept is something like 150 miles up
