Service life for 95LPs with 3000-3500PSI fills?

I have had a 95LP steel tank for some time now. Love this tank. On recommendation of my LDS, I have been going to 3000-3500PSI on my fills starting this dive season. No problems at all, just more gas when I need it.
I have a couple of good, clean Hydros under my belt with this tank.

What are some of the service life spans for "cavers" and other divers who have been running these kinds of PSIs with your LP tanks over the years?
My burst disk is rated for 4000PSI, by the way.

a few years ago i rented a set of old 104's that had been getting "cave fills" (3500+) for their life span, if i remember their born-on-date was somewhere in the early 80's. Well cared for steel tanks will probably outlive the person who's back they are on.

You're probably fine, and probably will be for a hydro or two more, if not longer.

You should get that burst disk replaced on occasion, though. They take a beating with overfills. (and regular fills, for that matter)

A shop filled my double LP95 tanks to 3200psi.

First, if you fill to 3500+, replace that burst disc. It *will* fail. I wont publicly tell you to put in a 5000-6000psi one or a couple of 4000psi ones or even shim stock but you get the idea.

As for longevity, My 104's, born in 2002, have seen mostly cave fills and passed their first hydro no problem. When in N. FL, the dive shops there have a huge collection of tanks that only see cave fills. That said, each time you do it, you are shortening the service life. I personally don't care as I like the gas.

My LDS routinely fills LPs to 3000 - 3200... The last ones I rented were roughly 10 - 12 years old & had just passed hydro & viz again... At $300 per tank new (LP95's) vs approx. $30.00 to rent two tanks every weekend... They long ago paid for themselves...
