regulator 232 bar / 3000 psi

Sorry if my question is stupid, but I'm confuse. On my regulator (Titan lx), it says 3000 psi / 232 bar. I've been told that I can use my reg on a 3442 psi tank. So does it means that it will work on a Hp 3442 tank, but that I have to fill it only up to 3000 psi?

If you convert 232 bar to psi, what do you get? :-)
I'll agree that it isn't quite 3442 psi, but it's pretty close, isn't it?
You'll be just fine using a HP 3442 psi tank with your Titan LX reg. I'm assuming that you have a yoke connector on that reg, right?
It used to be that a DIN reg-tank valve connection was required for HP tanks. Nowadays, certain tank valves sporting convertible DIN-yoke inserts, e.g., Thermopro variety, can cause divers to have questions just like yours. FWIW, I prefer using the DIN connection on my HP tanks as it is more secure than the yoke connection. However, the yoke connection is plenty reliable. Just be sure to monitor the "health" of your o-rings, whether they live on your reg (DIN connector) or on the tank valve itself (yoke tank valve). Others on this Board might have stronger opinions...

thank you, I just wanted to make sure since it's written 3000 psi on my reg. But it's also written 232 bar, which is more than 3000 psi...

That's exactly what I wonder? I'll ask my LDS, maybe they'll have an answer.
