Your 'old' inspection sticker will or should be removed by the cylinder inspector at the time the inspection is done.....if left on after passing and receiving a new insp. sticker go ahead and remove.

I persl. remove those large manfc. stickers,,,,,I would suggest you read it's contents.....but removing it is up to you.

I wish the LDS would remove them, but they tend to leave them, so I do it myself. Although now that I'm trained to do my own inspections it's all on me anyway. LOL

I get rid of all stickers except the current vis sticker.

Get rid of the old stickers. You only need the current VIP one for a tank that is used for air only.

Get rid of them. They can hide damage, rust or other nasties. They serve no purpose.

I like a small decal on my tank to tell the two of them apart...

Sticker, or anything that will trap moisture between it and the tank, can actually promote rust so you definitely want them off.

I'm curious why you need to tell two of your cylinders apart? My opinion is that I'll remove my stickers and only have the current vis sticker on it. Since I'm also a trained inspector I do my own and gladly remove the old ones. Many dive shops don't because once in a while it's a PITA and cuts down on the profit. Of course I don't think they're doing a proper inspection either.

I also like a decail or a number on my tank to distinguish it from other tanks. Helps when swapping out tanks as I have put back on an empty tank once or twice over the years when diving in cluttered conditions.
