Is this a good price?

I am posting this for my husband who is still at work: He discovered the LDS is selling off some of their rental steel 72's for $79.00. They have current hydro and vis.

I've seen them for much less with a current hydro and vis. I think it's too much money IMO.

I was GIVEN two 72's out of vis/hydro. $26 in hydros and a couple hours of work, we now have 2 more tanks in the stable.

$80 seems a bit high.

how old is the tank.... is it a newer one or one of the older steel 72's from the 1970's era?

those older tanks don't seem to hold much value and often have older valves on them. $79 isn't "robbery" but it's a little on the high side.

I'd say $50 to $60 might be fair (with it being a decent valve and current hydro/vis) (or less if in worse shape)

Nope, skip it. I think IMO that anything at a steel 80 and above is perfect.

I love my steel 72's. They have almost as much air as an AL 80, with better buoyancy. While that's not a bad price, around here $50 is the going rate with current hydro & VIP, but ever area is different. You might offer them $50 ea. just to see what they say.
