A few for sale in my area, steel. From Europe, anybody seen these before?
Slightly odd looking valve.

Beware of these tanks. They may be OK but they may be for the most part unusable in the US. Check the following:

1) Does the tank have a DOT stamping on it. All pressure vessels used in commercial service in the US must have this. No stamping, no fill. (they are supposed to be checked if you are paying for a fill). For complete information, get the tank markings and check the DOT regs to be sure. A hydro shop should be able to help there.

2) The valve itself - does it have burst discs. In the US, they are required by law. Europe doesn't use them or require them. If the valve doesn't have them, you aren't legally supposed to use it.

There is of course the legal gray area of non-commercial ownership and if you have your own fill station, it doesn't matter. For all of us that don't have personal compressors, it matters.
