What do you call this tank?

Hi, coming from the metric side of the world I have a question that I hope that you can help me with.

I have a SS tank at 12 litres and a filling pressure to 232 bar, what do you call it?
I would be most thankful to know because it would help me to use some lift calculation spreads.

/J

That tank would be a 98 cubic foot tank at 3365 psi.

The calculations are fairly easy:
12 litres at 232 Bar =2784 liters
1 litre is 0.035314 cubit feet so 0.035314 * 2874 = 98.3158 cubic feet

1bar = 14.50377 psi.
so 232 bar is 3364.87464 psi or about 3365 psi

Hope this helps

ETA: Who makes your cylinder? It might be easy enough to find their specification on thier web site. That's where I have gotten all the specifications for my tanks/cylinders.

Many thanks

It's made by Faber. One more, you often write LP or HP and I think I have seen other prefixes also. What does it stand for, it helps to know when following discussions.

From navyhmc's description, I think it may be an HP100.

HP high pressure - greater than 3000 psi?

LP low pressure

I am shopping for a W/BP for this tank and is using a 5.5+5.5 semidry. Do you guys have any suggestions in size. I think it will be an Oxyteq MachV (probably extreme due to the great price on ST) but I have not made up my mind if it will be 30 or 40 lbs

We consider it the norm in size for HP steel tanks.

Compared to an Al80. It has the same diameter, is a couple of inches shorter, similar in weight, higher capacity, and has better buoyancy characteristics.

You can do a search for Oxycheq Mach. I have the 40lb Mach V Extreme. Not much difference in profile between the 30 and 40. The 40 would be overkill for you though. I do not think it would be a hindrance though since that may be what is on special.
