I think 104's are PST's tanks which I believe is out of buisness. Faber and Worthington make 108's same size basicly though... Fabers tend to rust a bit more easily than do Worthingtons if the paint gets chipped, so if your planning on doing alot of ocean diving I would get Worthington 108's, I have Faber 108's it seems like they are a little more abundant around cave country, and I think the white looks cool with the rest of my black gear
. If you get a hydro stamp on either tank it is often a good idea to hit that spot with a bit of rustoleum paint of the color of your choosing (usually the same color as the tanks) and also if you scratch the Fabers and the scratch is deep enough to go through the paint.

They sound like my PST 104's. 104's are a great tank if you need lots of gas. (they overfill nicely). If you are looking for singles - the HP100 - LP85 are nicer. If you are looking for lightweight doubles - the HP100's- LP85's are nicer. Still, for cave diving - I like my 104's

Umm I wouldnt end most of my dives at 500 psi regardless but you could yes, with a LP104 you would still have 19cu ft of air at 500 psi vs with a al80 you would have around 13
The problem I have with ending a dive with 500 psi is, as I understand it a regulator needs around 200 psi to work, and also your guage can be off by a bit. And then the big one; will that 500 psi really be enough gas to get you and your buddy to the surface in the event of one of you having a catastrophic gas failure? Theoretically though if you take a tank that was say an HP104, and a LP104 the HP104 would have around 14cu ft of air at 500 psi and the LP104 would have around 19cuft of air so I would much rather breath the LP tank down to 500 psi than I would the HP tank, I say theoretically because a HP104 doesnt exist ![]()
