I have 5 or 6 Hymark cylinders. Good tanks. I prefer the natural grey finish.

The Luxfer 30 is a good strap on pony (due to it's smaller diameter) but the Catalina and Hymark sling better.

For slinging, I prefer Aluminum over steel because they are not as negative as steel so they won't upset your trim as much if you move or remove them. As far as brand, I will use any, but I will add a small weight or a small piece of foam to the tail end if the tank doesn't trim the way I want by itself.

Hymark is the only current manufacturer of an AL72. I like it's smaller diameter than the 80.

Personally, I prefer not to sling anything and keep everything on my back. Actually, almost all of my rigs are triples. Three identical tanks with two manifolded together and the third independent as a large pony. They can easily be reconfigured as doubles (either with or without a smaller pony) if the dive plan allows it.

Catalina also has a 72. Part number is AL72BNC.

Service Pressure 3000 psi
True Capacity 72 cu ft
Buoyancy Full -0.6 Llbs
Buoyancy 500PSI +3.5 lbs
Weight Empty 27.7 lbs
Outside Diameter 6.90 in
Cylinder Length 26.2 in

So it is smaller diameter than AL80 but slightly longer.

Here is the link http://www.xsscuba.com/tank_cat_alum_specs_.html Almost any Scuba Store should be able to order since most stores have a account with XSScuba. The problem is get free shipping I believe that order has to weight over 500 lbs or the shipping just kills the price.

Luxfer AL40 deco bottles for me. I love the way they ride.
I started with Faber 45, and I strongly recommend against it. WAY too heavy.
