Do you have 300bar Cylinders?

Do you have 300bar (4351psi) rated cylinders in the states? I noticed a few companies making 300bar rated manifolds but never see any cylinders.

I have seen Luxfer making and selling some either 80 or 85 cf AL and 106
AL at 300 bar composite. Not seen one in person though. One of the LDSs I go to cant even fill my 3442 or 3500 tanks all the way, they only go to 3200 or 3300.

I think getting fills locally at 4351psi would be hard I doubt any shop around here could fill that high.

that would be hard to get filled down in miami, maybe upstate FLA, where they have cave divers etc.

What are the highest psi or bar you see in tanks where your from? I heard years ago that in Europe 5000 or 6000 psi tanks were in use. No idea though.

The highest working pressure cylinders I believe here (Australia & Europe) are 300bar (4351psi). I have two 10litre 300bar cylinders. Most common Al is 240bar and other steels 232bar.

The 300bar cylinders are very heavy for their size due to the extra steel in the walls. They are hard to fill as you need a couple of goes, as you need to let them cool and then top up.

holly mother... i cant even think of a place to get that filled down here. i've heard people have a hard time getting HP steels filled.

i 'm pretty sure 300 bar tanks are not available for scuba diving. it is true that some european countries have these tanks but not here (in the usa). even if you have 300 bar rated tank, you won't get it filled for transportation.

The cost of having the extra pressure is that they weigh alot more than standard steels.

Its interesting when you hear about HP100. I think of my 300bar 10Litre (100cf), its the same size as a 72cf Al and its definately "HP".
