I'd love to hit up some springs that are 70F year-round, or places like Valhalla or Bonne Terre. (Un?)Fortunately, my wife is due with our first child around the end of January, so I fear it will put a hiatus on diving-related expenses for some time.

It will put a cramp in the amount of money for diving. You may not be able to take many trips to exotic places, but you should still be able to do plenty of local diving. And you'll have a up and coming dive buddy now.

As for me, I'm gonna keep diving until the wate rtemps get too cold to bear it. Also gonna do a Nitrox class this winter.

Working through Advanced OW and Nitrox certs, planning a trip to the Living Seas exhibit at Epcot, and then Belize in March.

In the meantime, lots of spring diving, and I'm trying to find someone who can help me get started diving offshore Jacksonville.

Not much luck there, yet.

Thank ya much, although I don't think my fears will be quelled until the kid is here and I've got everything figured out - so...never?

I don't know. It's going to be a while before my wife can dive again (my usual dive buddy) and I think I'd feel guilty leaving her with a newborn to go diving. I've always said I wouldn't let my kid going diving until they were at least 17 due to physiological reasons, but who knows how I'll feel by then.

Back on topic though, I am hoping to go with some friends on a trip to Lake Ouachita before too long. I'm not sure texdiveguy won't be there, either.

I guess I'll keep the Gypsy Girl RV full of fuel and Propane and keep the Amish busy up at the Lake Murray Bath House bringing me warm towels and spirits.

Butterfly Cove @ Texoma is going to be a repeat. Dispite what people might say, I've found a new place to dive so to heck with them if they don't want to come.
Besides ... Vision is only one of the 5 sences

Daingerfield State Park will be a first time dive soon I think.

Travis ??? Maybe during the Christmas time

The occational weekend at Lake Broken Bow, OK.

CSSP..... it could happen...and most likely will.

I'm looking forward to the Flower Gardens in March if the weather goes along.
