Minneapolis Bridge Collapse

A prayer for the safety of the rescue divers currently in the water in the Mississippi River looking for victims of the bridge collapse in Minneapolis. At this time it is dark and the weather is bad. I can't imagine diving under those conditions. Please everyone pray for their safety, and hope upon hope that they can save some lives.

As a paramedic, it's definatly not the type of incident I ever want to respond to. Hope everything turns out okay.

I assisted rescue diving efforts when an I-40 bridge collapsed on the Arkansas River in Oklahoma several years ago. My instructor was one of the rescue divers.
CNN just reporting that rescue divers are are not using scuba. Looks like sheriff's divers are simply rescue swimming due to the shallow waters.

I feel bad for anyone that was on that bridge when it collapsed. The first thing that popped into my head was when I was in 3rd grade, my teacher told me about her friend who was the last person across the Skyway Bridge when it collapsed. She looked out her rearview mirror and everyone disappeared.
