Yup, it doesn't look like a kosher deal. Too many issues here. I'd read about it quite some time back, never realized it was still ongoing. What's taking them so long? It seems cut and dried to me that at the very least he was negligent, at worst he killed her.

Unfortunately what you know and what you can prove are totally diferent things. I see it all the time. They want to make sure they have plenty of evidence before they get to court especially now that it is a highly publicized case. If they go to trial to soon and he is aquitted, then it is over. He cannot be tried again. ----- The other option is to invite him for a dive trip.

Does anyone know if the full video of this story is avaliable online, or if its going to be re-broadcast? MSNBC's site only has a short clip of Gabe's interview with police. I looked on youtube with no luck...

I keep trying to work out a way where it was all an accident due to poor decisions combined with a lack of good judgement. But it keeps coming up the same, there are way too many things that don't add up. I'm convinced at this point that he's guilty as can be.
I'm not fully convinced it was entirely pre-meditated on his part. There really isn't enough information available from that article to make that determination. He could have been trying to calm her down as she panicked and he overreacted. Jack |

latest news is he's dropped his lawsuit against the travel insurance company...he was seeking $45K plus unspecified punitive damages and damages for mental anguish.
the court action was filed in the US against the travel agency that arranged the trip, Getaway of Birmingham, Alabama, and travel insurers Old Republic Insurance Co. and Travelex Insurance Services. seems he thought that to continue the suit would lead into self incrimination...what a tool.....
