RIP Martin...Dive with Martin

I recently learned Martin died of pneumonia, his wife died May 2006 of an anurysm, after the hurricane and his wife passing it may have been to much.I understand Martins brother is now running the business. Our prayers go out to his surving children and relatives.....Martin was a good dive shop operator and even better man.

Yes, that was a true loss to the Scuba Community and Cozumel. It was probably about 9 months ago now. We used to dive with him all the time. He will be missed.

Some members of a club I'm a member of went down there on Memorial Day weekend and planted a cross. Here's a write-up of it in the last club newsletter. It's really pretty touching.

martin

thank you for telling me about the cross. we dove with martin a couple of years ago and would take clothes and such down for the needy on the island--martin was such an awesome man. we have dove with other shops on the island (we just returned from our 15th trip to Cozumel--my family wonders if we like the place... and it is hard to compare other shops to his when you just feel the passion that he had for his job...
