I've seen zip ties go and the mouth piece come off before. From what could be seen in the video it looked like the diver immediately moved to her buddy in reaction to an OOA situation. Hopefully this wasn't ultimately anything more than scary and inconvenient.

Yes! A couple comments on another board were that she should have gone for own octo. Well, duh.
But, I say (if legit) all she knows is she is sucking water and is going for air (gas) supply that she knows is available.

By the way that she was flapping her hands while attempting to complete her stupid human trick (forward roll), I suspect that she is an inexperienced diver. Just my observation.

Wow, very scary stuff. I think I would have gone for my Octo, at least I hope I would have...

Just my opinion, but from her reactions it looks like she thought......that's strange, OH CRAP!, where's my reg., I'm out of here, hey! there's one right there. Looked close to panic, and may not have been the first move everyone else would have made, but looks as if it turned out ok.

Looked like she took one swipe for her octo and missed it. Then she lock onto the other diver's working reg like a hungry shark after bleeding bait.

My first thought was why not get your own air source. But she might of thought it was the tank with the problem. That would be pretty scary to be playing one minute and no air the next.

Personally this is why I like secondary on a necklace around my neck, I don't even need my hands to find it, just bend my neck down and put it in my mouth. This is also true if some hungry air shark grabs my primary.

What would suck is if you didn't see the regualtor pop off and you still have the mouthpiece in you go to take a big breath and suck down a bunch of water!
