I've had my brain off gas a couple three or four times myself for that very same reason. It has been awhile for me though. My daughter(DB) is always wanting to know if our air is on.... Bless her heart!!!

I pulled the same thing this weekend on a quarry dive, only I somehow remembered before jumping in! Asked my DB to turn it on and he just laughed at me while he did so. I don't know what made me think of it, but I randomly though "you know, I don't remember turning my air on." Sure enough...
