Same as any other primary insurance, since they're secondary coverage. Primary pays first, then they start cutting checks to cover what's left.

I am interested in DAN, but am a little confused. If I understand this correctly, there is a membership fee and then you can purchase the insurance on top of the membership. Can anyone tell me how much the membership fee is and how much the insurance is?

It was also linked in the very first post of the thread. I guess crgjpg overlooked it.

If you [crgjpj] go back and read the thread from the beginning, it'll also list the DiveAssure rates & make comparisons. Hope that helps.

I have a ? how many of you that have regular pirmary ins that will cover you out of the US in risky activities ? Just curious thats the only reason I use DA is it will cover outside US as stated my normal will not cover risky activities. And if DAN is secondary seems like it wouldn't pay all if needed. Or am I wrong?

I believe if your primary coverage won't pay, DAN then has to pick up the whole tab. You shouldn't take our word for it, though... give a quite call to DAN and you can find out directly.

Luckily, my primary insurance will cover me outside the US, but I went ahead and purchased a DAN membership, I paid 114.00 total for me and hubby. It was $44 for membership, then $70 for the master plan coverage.
