I've looked at the video a couple of times. I can't put my finger on it, but something just does not seem correct.

Flame if you must, but I'm not buying it. It's too contrived.

cheers

Maybe. But you can't say it does not happen.

The vid was posted during the course of Scubaboard thread discussing a 68 yr old women who plunged to her death at the same location while pushing off her DM.
Even then, the tunes are great.

Here's the thread

Maybe I am too cynical, but I agree with JCAT. I'm not going to say it is a fake, but it is at least a dramatization of actual events.

This guy is dealing with two divers with 25 cu. ft. of air between them at 140+ fsw and he is perfectly calm, the camera is not jerking and getting knocked around because no one is paying atention to it anymore?

He gets to 15 feet and they go OOA, and all he does is film the SPG showing no gas. No excitement at all on the safety stop? I guess people run out of gas all the time at 15 ft when they are with him.

In fact, before the emergency even started, who swims around filming their console all the time?

I agree that it happens. I think the film has a valid message and safety warning. I just don't think it is a real record of actual events.

Agree 100%.

I follow threads on SB, but rarely post. There is just way too much controversy and drama on SB when it comes to certain subjects. Accidents, deaths, splitfins, DIR to name a few.

I do enjoy the Photography and Vintage sections tremendously though.

Not my favorite tune from him, but still pretty good.

cheers
