2nd fatality in Lake Michigan

Apparently we have had another death in Lake Michigan out of Port Washington. This is sad news since this is now the second fatality in two weeks. There were several articles on the web and I've linked two of them.

Please remember that this is a sad time for many. Please do not respond to this unless you have credible information to give.

Our prayers to the family and friends.

The Northener is 137' to the bottom, ~130' to the deck.

Condolences to Family and Friends.

My condolences to the friends and family.

It always worries me when I hear about things like this. I wonder if but by the grace of God, could that have been me?

First accident... not a chance. I wouldn't solo dive at my skill level and definitely not to 300'. I cannot see any reason to go to 300'.

Second accident... that could have been me. I'm around that age. I've gone with my dive club to dive a wreck at 110' and might consider something at 130'. I'll definitely watch for more details. A lot of questions come to mind.

Condolences to his family and friends. It'll be interesting to get more info on this. I dive solo to 130 all the time and can always use more info that might help me stay safe.
