Diver injured at Gilboa this weekend??

I don't have any information, other than that it happened.
One of the instructors that was at Portage today mentioned that someone was lost yesterday, making it their 3rd of the year.

Does anyone have any information on what happened?

I'm still heading home from Portage right now, haven't had time to do a proper search.

This was their world record attempt weekend. According to everything I have read, everything went smoothly. (Although they didn't get the record)

At the current time, I would file this instructor in the tasteless rumor spreader catagory.

Like I said - I haven't had a chance to look for the story, but the person talking about it said he had gotten a call that morning - and he was pretty upset about it.
I doubt he would have a reason to make up a story.

I did hear that a air rescue chopper was at the quarry during the record breaking event, but not to pick anybody up - to take pictures.

Haven't been able to find anything on the web about any issues at the quarry.

The only thing I heard of was from SB(second board knowledge).. An individual did get out of the water and need med attention, and was the second time in two weeks this had happened to them. The med helicopter was there on stand-by, but got called out to another emergency when the individual was receiving O2 by med staff on-site. I have not seen anything more than the individuals condition.

I haven't found anything either. Might I suggest that someone didn't follow the check in/out procedures and when a final accountability check was made, it was reported that someone was missing. It could be a case of they were found later but the person who first reported/overheard it didn't get that piece of information?

Wow, I really hope this does indeed turn out to be a false alarm. Like many of you, I know a few people that were down there...would hate to know anything bad happened to anyone, especially if I knew them.
