Diver still missing

From the local newspaper:

Bella Bella BC: RCMP have called off the search for a missing 45-year-old recreational diver from Williams Lake.

The RCMP's Underwater Recovery Team made three grid searches of Kwatna Inlet, to a maximum depth of 40 metres, without finding any sign of the diver.

The team is confident that every square metre of the inlet was searched.
RCMP said Thursday that the missing diver's immediate family have been updated throughout the search and understand that the dive team is planning no more searches at this time.

The 45-year-old sport diver went missing on the evening of Sept. 13 when he went diving alone in the Kwatna Inlet, 27 nautical miles southwest of Bella Coola.

Sad news.

Prayers to family and friends. Thanks to the recovery team for their duty.

Hopefully they find him sooner rather than later, for the sake of peace for his family.
