Sounds like an interesting legal system down there - time limits on jury deliberation, and the judge making a pitch?[/quote] Add jury composition of 7 woman and 2 men and a 10 year laspe from an incident that was originally ruled an accident. Can you say KANGAROO. |

whats kinda scary about this is that if you were to give these two (this guy and the one in Australia) the benefit of the doubt, neither one may be truly guilty of being anything more than a bad dive buddy, or incapable of saving their significant other, and now they are in jail because of it...
so, if I was diving with my wife and something happened to her that I could not prevent / save her from, am I in danger of being put in jail?

Need more input!
I would love to know what came to light during the civil proceeding that cast doubt on the original COD ruling to the point where this dude was extradited and found guilty of murder. Seems like if there was a smoking gun that big uncovered they would have mentioned it. The story makes it sound like it was a foregone conclusion that he was guilty once he lost the civil suit. Maybe he is guilty and if so, roast him, but in the absence of more information, it sounds very circumstantial to me.
