It is not a PADI center. One of the guys is a PADI instructor, and he does the certifications. All staff are not PADI.

Let me see if I have this right...

- Mansour Al-Shamileh is a PADI Master Diver Trainer (from his website)
- Mr. Frogman is owned by Mansour Al-Shamileh (did a whois on the website)
- Mr. Frogman is NOT a PADI dive centre (searched for it at www.padi.com)

This sets off alarm bells for me. If I was a certified PADI dive instructor, why wouldn't I make my shop a certified PADI dive centre?

We have three shops in the area that have PADI instructor and only one is a Padi Dive Centre. Being a Padi Dive Centre is nothing special other than you paid your dues to due to Padi. Send them the money and you get a banner, clock and sticker for your window and listing on the website.

I guess I am reading a different thread. The way I see it Mitsu thought the video was a fake and listed his reasons why. Henrik stalked him to this forum and called him out. Mitsu didn't cave.
I'm not sure why Henrik needs to be validated by everyone, but I didn't see Mitsu cross any lines.

That's why the LDS in my town isn't a PADI Dive Center. His margins weren't high enough to justify the extra dues. He also said you get a special logo on the rear of the cert cards or something.

Thats about the way I see it... I made my comments and left it at that... I stand behind what I believe I see in the video...

I had already forgotten completely about it until I got an e-mail notification that the thread had been updated...

I don't know who is right or wrong in this argument, and I would like to avoid commenting on it because I don't think it does anyone any good. However I do think it is fair to point out that if someone posted something in a public forum which painted a portrait of me as a liar that I would be within my rights to try to defend myself.

Again, not taking sides here fellas....just thought that the term "stalked" has some pretty negative connotations and might be a bit out of place here.

Thanks you for your efforts, advocacy and caring. In a world (especially the US) filled with apathy, lack of caring and cynicism, it is wonderful to see someone take action when needed. I trust your video and the efforts you have made will truly make at least a small change for the better. If at least one diver ends up safer and another ends up better trained it will be to your credit.
