2 Divers left at sea-Sandals Antigua
What steps can you take if you find yourself diving with an operartor you feel might be unsafe?
Furious rescuers blasted Sandals Grande Antigua as "breathtakingly irresponsible" after its dive boat crew returned to port without realizing they had left behind two of 13 scuba diving customers.ANTIGUA (29 August 2007) -- Two British divers were abandoned for five hours in shark-infested waters after instructors failed to notice they were missing.

Wow! That's just irresponsible. I mean, how hard is it to notice that 2 tanks haven't been put back in their slots? Protocols were obviously broken. The sad part is that since they cut the dive short, it sounds like this was a guided dive in the first place and they still managed to lose the two guys.

wow, now there is a reason to be very friendly with the rest of the divers, maybe someone will notice. truely find it hard to believe that none of the other divers didn't notice them missing!!!! two DM and an instructor either ouch
another thing to add to the survival kit, a small bottle of sun screen and a capri sun. i tell, i would have be an owner of their operations after i got back and the lawyers got to them. i also guess ian won't be diving anytime soon since they kept quoting him as crying like a baby, but i wouldn't even know where to begin in that kind of situation .

Have you ever wondered why every dive operation that you have ever worked with required you to sign a waiver prior to putting you in the water or on the boat? In addition, have you ever attempted to sue anyone in a foreign country? It's a lot harder than it is in the United States, I'm sure... assuming you can even get a hearing at all. The only lawsuit that I currently am aware of proceeding against a dive operator is in Australia -- that story was the basis for the film Open Water. depend on the country the island belongs too and the operator "sandels" is pretty big in gettinng people from the us so there has to be some sort of legal action possible, but there is also the jersey method. ever heard of it?? wait till dark and watch the fire works.
