Death at Dutch Yesterday

My mom read in the paper that someone died at Dutch yesterday, but there weren't any details. Anyone know what happened?

Update: Here's what I found online: Scuba diver's death under investigation -- themorningcall.com

It's very sad, but did you read the moronic comments about how they should shut Dutch down because of it? Yeah it sucks that the guy died, but it doesn't mean we should all be punished for it. I hate when people have such a knee jerk reaction. Oh the guy died, shut it down. It doesn't mean that Dutch is inherantly unsafe because some guy died there. There's probably thousands of dives done there safely every year. The staff at Dutch are very vigilant and having a problem there, your odds are probably better then almost anywhere else with the EMS right down the road, and all the rescue trained divers on site. I feel sorry for the poor guy and his family but this stuff really annoys me to read.

Quote "Dutch Springs Rents out Oxygen Tanks". I wish that reporters would educate themselves before attempting to write a story about which they have little knowledge.

A two second google search produced the Dutch Springs homepage. There is no mention of renting O2 tanks. They do air fills.

I have been involved in several situations that have been reported by the media. Never have I seen them report the story accurately.

I was diving on the student side & as we were coming out from our first dive saw an older woman fall & get taken away in an ambulance. After our second dive I saw the police & the ambulance come by again but didn't know what happened... Horrible tragedy, it's a shame some idiot has to call for closure of the park though... I guess there's no point in being stupid if you can't show it... (meaning the media of course...)

You have to wonder how much longer they will continue to operate for, or at what cost. These high profile incidents must be raising their insurance to insane costs.
