Unhappy Your SCUBA accidents, incidents, mishaps??

On our recent trip to Jamaica I ended up with a nasty sinus infection (still dealing with it 3 weeks later) my mask was a little leaky and with all the head down looking into cracks and holes in the reef I ended up with a ton of water up my sinus and then the nasty-make-your-head-explode-sinus-infection.
How bout you?

I was in Cozumel and I had some congestion. I figured I'd be okay and partway down, I had painful pressure in my left ear. I had to ascend 20 feet and then try and equalize again. I was able to get down, but a slight pain was there for a long period of time after the dive.

You might be right! But I have to say, diving in nice warm Caribbean waters is a whole lot better than diving cold dark quarries.

I've had a few issues and mishaps:
  • I was part of a group abandoned at sea for 2 hours when our boat failed to pick us up after a drift dive in Belize.
  • A buddy and I were tripled up with a third diver on a deep wreck dive at night, and he paniced on the descent, knocked the light out of my buddy's hand, and then rode him to the surface in an uncontrolled ascent.
  • I had a buddy panic in choppy conditions brought on by moderate storm surge, and had to tow her to safety.
  • I was on a liveaboard trip where a diver had a heart attack and died while struggling against a stiff current.
  • I had dry glove rings compress my median nerve and make my hand go numb mid-dive.
  • I caught my undergarment in my dry suit zipper, and had a slow flood in 38 degree water during a 145' dive with a 12 minute deco obligation.
  • I had to abort a dive when my computer flooded and power inflator o-ring extruded simultaneously due to an unfortunate coincidence.
  • When a buddy and I aborted a 90' wreck dive due to <5' vis, we were unable to find our way back to the mooring line, and shot a bag on a spool to the surface for a free ascent. The line somehow got hooked on the bolt snap as it deployed, jamming the reel and pulling the whole mess toward the surface without us, leaving us to decide between surfacing without the marker, or blowing off our safety stop.
No sinus issues so far though... knock on wood.

Good thing you have some good nerves. Might have to quit diving if you ever get a sinus issue.

Knowing when to quit is probably why I haven't had a sinus issue. If my sinuses aren't healthy, I don't dive.
