DAN are amazing

I'm sure that lots of you guys have already spotted this but I only just found it and was blown away by the information available.

Having looked through some of my instructors DAN injury report books I wandered over the the DAN site to see how much the newest one was to order - turns out they are free, 2001 - 2006 are all available as pdf downloads.

Just let me repeat that - FREE.

Incedible detailed and reliable information available for nothing - amazing.

I can't recall if they are free to members only, or to the general public, but either way it's a phenomenal resource.

I didn't log on or anything to get hold of them - but I am a member, but unless they have a website much better than anyone elses that actually checks non-member logins against member information I think they are open to anyone.

Here's the exact link:

Divers Alert Network : DAN Medical Center : Annual Diving Report

You need to be logged in. But you don't have to be a member.

Yes, I think that one should buy into DAN. Almost NO private insurance co. will give you squat if you go in the can bent. There are either one, or two tanks on this island, I get several stories on that one, but the ONE fact that is always told; if you got no DAN card, you pay up front, before you go in, or you dont go in I use my computer, always err to the side of caution, but, sometimes I really like to hit some depth. I would be a FOOL not to buy into it. Even when your not diving for awhile, keeping your card alive helps them stay solvent. A DM/LDS down here went into the can two weeks ago down here in Curacao, too many deep specialties classes, in too little time. Two of the dives were with my group. It can happen to anyone. Support DAN. Good stuff!!
