Hey little bro...doesn't sound good. Did they move it to a new room or did someone do the 5 finger discount? What are they doing to find your stuff? Is it "all" your gear, including the new BPW?

Bummer!

I know it sounds stupid. But, don't let this ruin your vacation. You made an investment in time and $ to be there. Rent some gear and go diving. There is nothing good that can come out of being ticked off about this. When you get back from your vacation we can rant together and drink a virtual beer.

When you get home, call your credit card and dispute the charge for your hotel. IF they are going to rob you, no sense in paying them to do it.

I feel your pain.

But I'd have a lot more sympathy for you if you weren't in F"%king Cozumel.

A lot of my friends think I am paranoid about this kind of stuff, but I would have never allowed the hotel to move the bags. I stay with them at all times.

Sorry about your stuff!

I'm the same way. I'll accompany a bell boy up if they insist, but in general, I don't let anyone handle my luggage.

My carry-on, which has my regs, computer, camera, HID light, etc., stays in my lap, even in a car. No one touches my carry-on, no matter how eager.

I hope they can locate it and that it was not stolen. I have had it where they mixed up the carts when going from the lobby to the room. I always try to keep an eye on it especially at the airport waiting to be scanned. I have lost more luggage at San Francisco and Detroit airports because they have left it laying around. It was normally only clothing, toiletries, iron, books, etc. so I got reimbursed well. It would ruin my vacation. I like No Misses more positive outlook on continuing vacation and wish I could react that way. I wonder if AAA or if the credit card insurance would cover your travel related loss? I have used it for interrupted travel and lost baggage. I have replaced broken or lost items purchased within 1 year on credit card insurance.
