O.K., so here's a really stupid ?...

in preparing for an upcoming trip to Bon, I'm looking through my US change and find a healthy # of US $1 coins. Are they usable? So is it $1 paper or coin....... both?

They're quarter sized, not silver dollar size

They are no good anymore, send them to me and I will correctly dispose of them at our cities designated drop area which, coincidentally, is also the ScubaToys cash register.

There are the Susan B. Anthony dollar coins and the gold-ish ones with the native american picture (I'm blanking for some reason). Both roughly quarter sized.

Both a legal tender. If you don't want 'em, I'd be glad you help ya get rid of them, for a VERY modest fee!

The Post Office gives these as change in their stamp machines. Sometimes people have mistaken it for a quarter. I may also have made the mistake, but tend to give them to my daughter.

Depends on if you want to haul a bunch of change around. Then again, if you've got no facilities to change for banknotes, then you may as well use them up. Pack them in your pocket to save weight allowance, yeah?
