Dive in Brazil

Don't you ever dive in Brazil? I don't see it in any region on the forums.
We have very nice diving places...
Fernando de Noronha, Abrolhos, Arraial do Cabo, Angra dos Reis...

I am usually in the Sao Paulo area when I go to BR.

Is Santos a good place to dive?

Have you been back to SP? I love the city, it is fascinating. They got some bad press last year, with the war between the criminals and the police. (Long story short: The government seems to value the lives of gangsters of those of the police). But, I have rarely had a problem. The only time I felt threatened was when wearing a suit. Usually, it's shorts, and t-shirts, and nobody looks twice.

Oh, yeah... what do you know about the diving in Brazil?

I haven't been on scuba yet, but I went snorkeling in Santos, and it was OK. The underwater topography reminded me of North Carolina.

Maybe Brazil is the next Curacao? Is 'Curacao' a Portuguese word?

One more kind word about Sao Paulo: In the springtime, there are these amazing thunderstorms. Imagine being in a tall building, with the windows open, during one of these storms. The feeling is like Nature surrounds you and is washing you clean. That's the best way i can describe it.

The girls are really pretty, too. Being blond and blue-eyed helps, too. "What? Who me? Seriously? Me?"

You should pay a visit to Rio. You'll never want to go back to São Paulo...
