Dive Report Barbados

Stayed at Dover Beach hotel it was very small, clean, very quiet at the very end of St Lawerence gap.

Day 1
Checked into hotel met up with friends dinner at Cafe Jungles tree house for at it was ok nothing to brag about but the drinks were good esp the rum punch.

Day 2
Did a weight check dive with Divepro Don't remember the dive site but we did see a lot of turtles. When I was trying to surface I noticed I had a leak in my wing. I looked for the DM to hand him some of my weights (didnt want to ditch when I can just adjust). He was no where to be seen. Come to find out later he was on the BOAT !!! This is 10 minutes into the dive!!! WTF !!! He didnt know my skill level. I gave him my c-card that said open water. and I said I only had 10 dives underneath me (I'm certified in rescue and have ~100 dives).

Day 3-6
Dove with John Moore from Dive Barbados while not high class in boats and facilities. I will dive with John any place, anywhere, anytime.
I have a c-card and know how to dive but he showed my how to become a better diver. I learned more from him in 5 days than I have in the last 2 years. He gave instructions and tips to all involved. When some said its how they dive he was offended he just moved on. Micheal the boat captain was also excellence. They were so helpful. 2 dives a day with 3 on the last day. Great dive sites we saw shipwrecks, lots of turtles ,some eagle rays, nice selection of fish. The reef is in bad shape.

Day 7
Harrison cave is worth a visit. pretty amazing tour,
Wildlife reserve well if you have a travel a bit you've would have seen better. Not worth the trip in my opinion

Farewell dinner at Pisces restaurant the 8 of us agreed this was the best meal we have ever had period !!!! Thats saying a lot since no one order any fish for which they are famous for .

other good places to eat
Sweet potatoes - Bajan type cooking
David's place. - Bajan type cooking
Jade Garden - yes chinese food!! after several bad meals from places I didnt mention. we went with a standard. But this is very, very good chinese.
Scotties - opposite from cafe Jungle not really a restaurant but has the best roti's around
