The real complaints need to be focused toward the OIL and GAS COMPANIES not the airlines. The airlines like everyone else is having to do what they can to stay in business. I mean when you have all the oil and gas companies posting record profits what do you expect??? Until you get the government out of bed with them IT will always be Legalized price gouging by the Government!!!

Who did you fly?....I may have gotten lucky in the past and was very surprised on my last trip to Indonesia that Lion, Merpati and Guardia did not make me put my two carry ons on the scale.....but they got enough $$ out of me on my checked bags.

China Air on the LAX-Bangkok trips, they weighed only on the return to LAX flight.

Thai air on the domestic hops around Thailand... they did not weigh our carryons.
