Puget Sound diving (Seattle)
Hello guys
I already found a threat at ST recommending Bandito's charter in Puget Sound. I looked at their prices, and they seem reasonable. As for the dive sites they offer, which ones do you recommend? Bandito Charters Featured Dive Sites Thanks in advance, |

From the latest "where are you from list". There are several here from the area, maybe try PM'ing some of them? The ones I highlighted in red, I know post quite a bit.

The Bandito boats are good charters -- They're spacious and organized, and the captains are good. The sites they will do will be determined by the tide and current information on the day that you dive; at least on the charters I've done with them, they've never asked us where we wanted to go.
My favorite South Sound sites from the boat are Sunrise (which can be done as a shore dive, with a punishing hike), KVI Towers, and Zee's Reef. Sometimes they'll also do Day Island Wall, which is a wonderful dive, but one I've only done from shore. Their second site is often a current-insensitive one like the Maury Island Barges, which tend to be silty and less interesting. Bandito also operates a boat in the San Juan Islands. I've only been up there once. The viz tends not to be terribly good in the San Juans, but because there's a lot of current there, there's a lot of life and a different spectrum of critters from what we see in the central or South Sound. |
