Thumbs up Great prices on travel insurance

Found a great site for trip cancellation insurance. insuremytrip.com
Travel Insurance - InsureMyTrip.com
They have 19 agencies for the best pricing. Our "hurricane" insurance was 1/2 the price quoted by the travel broker.
You can call to get just the insurance you are looking for, ie; hotel, air, medical, evacuation etc.
Makes insuring an iffy trip much more feasable.

I own a travel agency. I insist that my clients buy travel insurance. Those that choose not to sign a waiver indicating that they declined it. So many time, I've had client without insurance cancel their trip at the last minute and want me to get their money back. Sorry...that ain't happening...

I've actually had morons tell me, "I don't plan to cancel, so I don't need insurance." God...I hope those idiots don't reproduce. I kinda hope that level of stupidity will self-terminate.

I usually sell the insurance as trip interruption and medical evacuation insurance, not cancellation. Nobody plans to cancel; nobody plans to get sick on the trip. Get insurance, because medical evacuation is EXPENSIVE!!!!!

Heck yes it does. I can't tell you how many turists I've seen here crowded inside of mexican public schools waiting out hurricanes. Sucky vacation.

Be sure to read the fine print....I noticed the following exclusions for one of the participating insurers:

9. Participation in underwater activities;
.....
12. Participating in bodily contact sports; skydiving; hang-gliding; parachuting; mountaineering; any race; bungee cord jumping; and speed contest (speed contest shall not include any of the regatta races), scuba diving, spelunking or caving, heliskiing or extreme skiing;

Which insurer was it?
