My very first dive trip at it was to Cozumel

Fortunatly I went with a group led by "Mac". So I had help. I got my advanced cert. through ScubaToys and finally did something I never had the chance to do before. Went to Cozumel to dive. Had a great time...totally awesome. Took my first pictures underwater and they turned out pretty good, too. You can view them if you wish at my website: New Page 1 then click on the Cozumel tab.
Some things I learned: 1. Get my own BC with integrated weights. 2. Get my own regulator and stuff. 3. Get luggage that glows in the dark and can be seen from a mile away...that will make it easier to find at the airport terminal...oh, and be sure it has wheels and a handle. 4. Read ALL the signs at the airport. 5. Coral scratches are painful even if it is not fire coral. 6. Drift diving means you will be moving whether you want to or not and if you are taking pictures...better hurry or catch hold of something. 7. Swimming...nay, trying to swim aginst current uses tons of air. 8. The best thing I learned was that my companions on this trip were super people and make really good friends. I am anxious to go on another trip somewhere like this one and, by the way, Mac is an excellent dive leader.

One thing on the luggage. Handle and wheels are nice, but add weight. Once you have all your own gear, you really need to watch your limit.
