Dive the NY Subways in Myrtle Beach

Subway cars help build a reef off Murrells Inlet - Local - Myrtle Beach Sun News
Should be interesting, especially before the reef starts growing. It'll be quite interesting for me to have my 1st time on a NY subway be at 65 Feet down.

The the whole purpose, discussed in the video, is improving fishing. Interesting how each car, after hitting the water sideways, goes upright. Thanks for posting.

SC already has some NY subway cars around artificial reefs - these aren't the first. One popular place to dive them now is around the BP25 (artificial wreck).

I wonder how long they have to be submerged in seawater, before the urine smell goes away?

They certainly look a heckuva lot cleaner than when they were in service!

And I bet the station announcements are still garbled!

Next stop is... Reef Avenue.... glug glug glug
