Aquarium Diving

Hi All

If any of you will be out towards Baltimore anytime soon, check out the dives at the National Aquarium in Baltimore! Its a pretty neat program, the dives are run on Saturdays from 3:00 to around 7:00. You get to do two dives - one in the Atlantic Coral Reef tank and one in the Wings of Water exhibit ( with all the stingrays and the sea turtle! )

The dives are run by Atlantic Edge Dive Center, you can visit their website and register online or call them at 1-866-550-3483.

That sounds pretty amazing, I'm going to do some research and see if I can find a local aquarium that has a similar program.

I just started doing volunteer diving at the PPG aquarium!

the National aquarium diving is pretty pricey, isn't it?

The Oklahoma Aquarium here does not have any kind of program where you can make dives in their tanks. You have to be a volunteer and it took me 1 1/2 years to be able to get on there. But, I was able to get a buddy on after only a couple of months. I guess if you know someone on the inside it helps a lot.

dang, a year and a half to be a volunteer... I saw that you can dive in the denver aquarium, I may just do that while I'm there this fall. Thanks for the info!
