We just bought the UK light cannon. We were on a liveaboard in the bahamas and we had the brightest lights, with the longest duration. The operator always knew where we were.

I like them.

I use an sl4 eled and do not have any problems with it - might pick up something brighter if I decide to do many night dives in lower vis water, but for diving in Bonaire, the sl4 was plenty

If you don't mind paying a bit more, check out the Nocturnal Lights SLX LED lights. Great construction, takes 6 AA batteries, and has a nice blend of a bright focus beam with a large diffused area of light around it. We've had ours for 3 years and have found that even on a 2 week vacation, we never have to change the batteries. We use the lights for critter spotting during the daytime as well as on 2-4 nightdives.

The Princeton Tec MiniWav LED is a 4c cell light that has the same light output as their 8 cells LED light (9 watts) This is significantly more light output than the UK 4 cell lights and nearly as much as their 8 cell lights with less weight and respectible battery life.
